As the name suggests, this is where you’ll find all the information you need to enjoy your time in Palmerston North plus conference pricing information.

The 2012 Inspired Impact Teachers' Conference will be held on the 26th and the 27th January 2012 in Palmerston North at the Regent Theatre on Broadway. Workshops will be held in the adajacent UCOL buildings.

Keynote Speakers

The 2012 Inspired Impact Teachers’ Conference has a dynamic line up of internationally recognised keynote speakers including ‘Cultures of Thinking’ expert and author of ‘Making Thinking Visible’ Dr Ron Ritchhart from Harvard University; UK Principal of the Year and now advisor to the Minister of Education and internationally acknowledged speaker Richard Gerver; Shannon’s women’s fashion shop entrepreneur Suzie Johnson. ICT visionary Mark Treadwell; well known and respected Massey educator Dr. Jenny Poskitt; vibrant engaging and National Tertiary Teaching Excellence Award winner 2010 Angie Farrow; and experienced teacher and Massey Lecturer Andrew Jamieson, whose passion has been to utilise new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

Conference Workshops

Choose from over ninety workshops focusing on the conference theme ‘Tomorrow’s Decision Makers Today”. The facilitators have been carefully chosen and cover a wide range of curriculum areas and different sectors within education. They will challenge, engage, motivate and inspire.

Workshop spots are limited to enhance the learning experience for all participants. Options are listed with a short summary of what you can expect under their respective breakouts in the following pages. Please select your top three workshops for each of the four workshops (A, B, C and D)

Extended Sessions

This year we have included two ‘Extended Sessions’
These sessions run over two sessions and will be of 2 hours duration. If you are attending an AB, for example, you will not be able to attend workshops in session A or in session B.

Terms and Conditions

One registration form must be completed per attendee. Payment can be made either directly to account 01-0745-0280318-00 or by cheque to Inspired Impact Ltd, PO Box 405, Palmerston North 4440.

Alternatively, once individual registration forms have been received, an invoice will be sent out. Registrations will not become official until payment has been made. You will then receive an email confirmation with your unique registration number and instructions about signing in at the conference venue.

Conference registration includes morning tea and lunch on both Thursday 26th and Friday 27th January. A $100 administration fee applies to all cancellations. In the event that one of the scheduled speakers is unavailable to attend, Inspired Impact Ltd reserves the right to provide a replacement speaker.
